Does anything run in the cloud?
No. α²Buildings deploys fully on-premise and can operate air-gapped. Remote access, where wanted, runs through your own infrastructure and your own policy.
We have legacy BACnet and Modbus plant. Rip and replace?
No. The platform is vendor-neutral by design — existing HVAC plant, meters and lighting come onto the same console, and KNX extends the estate where it makes sense.
Can it run on classified networks?
The architecture — offline updates, no external dependencies, signed artifacts, SIEM export — is built to enter accreditation processes. Scope and network classification are agreed per project.
